Neighborhood Crime Watch

The foundation funds the Neighborhood Crime Watch (NCW) program.  NCW is an outreach program with the Yarmouth Police Department to promote neighborhood involvement in reducing crime. Volunteer block captains are recruited from neighborhoods across town. The block captains facilitate communication between the YPD and their neighborhood and train neighbors to become the eyes and ears to report suspicious activity in their area. Currently there are 88 blocks with area captains in South Yarmouth, West Yarmouth, Yarmouth Port, Captain’s Village and King’s Way.
